Today I’m happy to show you some images from a reception last year at Botanical Cafe at Mt Coot-tha.
When Mellita came to me and suggested moss on her wedding tables my heart did a little jump. It was messy and damp and so much fun! We dragged bag after bag of moss into the cafe and poked all sorts of goodies into it. Books and old nic-nacs that she had collected sat amongst the greenery. I wish I could have been there to see the guest’s faces as they found their table and discovered each treasure hidden in the foliage!
The staff at Botanical Cafe were so helpful and let me put dirt and foliage all over the place!
The photos are fabulous because they were taken by Brisbane wedding photographer Deb Boots from Boots Photography. Just love when a bride tells me Deb will be photographing my wedding flowers!
This little mate gave me a big fright while setting up a wedding at the Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha last weekend! He ran out from under a table and proceeded to climb all over my tools and eat things he found in the moss and foliages.
Luckily my husband was there and came over when I let out a strange squeak, to assure me the lizzard was not going to eat me.
Don’t worry, before long we were great friends.
Had to share a little sneaky peak of the bouquet from a beautiful wedding this past weekend – Mark and Mellita Hennessy!
The gorgeous bride, is a wedding planner with great taste and of course, some amazing ideas! When she first came to me with her thoughts about the wedding florals I knew it was going to be amazing and a little bit different.
This delightful image is from the talented and wonderful Deborah Boots of Boots Photography.
